Meet the Team



 

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.” (Philippians 1:3-5) 

LHBC has a wonderful team of 17 individuals set to share the gospel and serve in Romania June 19 - July 1, 2025. We will be partnering with Ocna Sugatag Baptist Church and sharing about Christ while serving in several ministries: eyeglass ministry, VBS, orphan care, helping hands / widow care, maternity center, hospital visits, providing seminars, construction projects, and sermons.

We will be posting here at the end of each day beginning June 19th with updates about the work accomplished and a little insight from each team member about how the day went and how they saw God working! Remember to check back each day of the trip for updates!

    Praying for you all each morning when I wake & each night before bed. Carole you looked right at home in the classroom. I’m enjoying your comments, & find it a privilege to pray for you all.

    Good morning to all, praying each day as I look at your faces as a team & pray for each of you. Carole what joy to be teaching VBS, knowing these children will take the love of Jesus home to their friends & families. & David for strength & energy having just come home from Ireland & jumping into Romania. You are a skilled dentist, I pray that many people appreciate having their teeth cared for. Florica with your three precious little ones, may God bring you extra strength & peace & energy to care for all. God Bless you guys, I pray for each one of you every morning & night. It’s such a joy. Worship Service Sunday

    Today was a wonderful day of worshipping and fellowship! We began the day with a service at the church here in Ocna Şugatag, called Biserica Creştina Baptista. It was wonderful to intermix our team with theirs to create the service. John Mar did the Call to Prayer. Brianne, Paul, Gianna, and the local pastors daughter played some worship songs. Pastor Tom did the sermon. Alex translated everything from Romanian to English and vice-versa. We had a break for some lunch where we surprised Carole Bell with a birthday cake and songs, today was her birthday! It was also Teresa Chau's birthday on the day we flew here, June 19th. We were able to sing happy birthday to both of them! We then had a second worship service in a city about 30 minutes north called Sighetu Marmației. This church was a little larger than the one in Ocna, and we were able to do the same things within this worship service as well, which was wonderful!  After this service, we met and had dinner with all ...

Hello from Romania!

          We successfully were able to catch our connecting flight in Munich, and we made it to Romania! Thank you all for praying for us! Praise God for his providence and going ahead of us to prepare the way!      We arrived in Cluj and got all of our checked bags, and then Alex and two others from the local church picked us up in some vans and we all had a lovely dinner just outside of Cluj. After dinner we drove three hours north to Ocna Sugatag and got settled in. Prayer Requests: - Pray for good rest, it was a long travel day (~30hrs of traveling altogether) Thank you for reading and keeping us in your prayers ~ Team Romania 2025
